Gun Pulled on P.Diddyby Policeman
Rapper and businessman Sean John Combs (P.Diddy) had a gun pulled on him and his entourage on August the 24th it has been confirmed.
The artist was part of a seven car convoy driving down Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles when police pulled one of the cars over for having an expired registration plate. During this time however 2 of the other cars pulled over and 5-6 men got out and started to approach the L.A County Sheriff Deputy.
0 Kanye West to Produce Blueprint III
It has been announced that Chigaco town producer and recording artist Kanye West will now be the main producer on Jay-Z’s, Blueprint III along with Dion “No I.D.” Wilson.
Only a month ago in an interview with the press Timbaland stated that he’d be the main producer, however recent actions and announcements have clearly stated otherwise causing, no doubt, embarrassment on Timbalands part.

People it’s official, this winter is going to be one of the biggest/best ever for Hip-Hop and Rap music. The genre is going to see new albums from T.I, Eminem, Dr Dre, Jay-Z and now even U.S Superstar Kanye West.
The first album dropping is T.I’s Papertrail, set for September the 30th. The album features production from Just Blaze, Kanye West and Swizz Beatz as well as vocals from Rihanna and also Justin Timberlake! Needless to say this will be the album of the week, T.I’s currently No.1 in the US Billboard Chart with Whatever You Like, he’s also releasing Live Your Life soon as well, both of which are hits. This album is definitely going to be one to hear.

10. Mos Def- The Ecstatic
| After a 2 year rest from the limelight, rapper and actor Mos Def is back. The Ecstatic is set for a Spring release and features collaborations including Talib Kweli, Slick Rick, Mr Porter and Chad Hugo. |
9. Missy Elliott- Block Party
| Since late 2007/early 2008 Missy Elliott has been promising this album. Although we know Timbaland is going to have an important role in the creation of the album, not a lot more is know. Confirmed tracks on the album include Ching-a-Ling and “Shake your Pom-Pom”. |
8. The Clipse- Till the Casket Drops
| It’s about time the Virginia Duo took the limelight. Their two previous albums failed to gain commercial success and problems with labels and management have always held them back. Hopefully 2009 should be there year. Production includes Swizz Beatz, Kanye West and The Neptunes. |
7. Fabolous- Loso’s Way
| Fabolous is back with his fifth studio album set for a summer release. Little is known about this album so far, he announced the album last year and the only confirmed tracks so far (according to Wikipedia) are “Throw it in the Bag” and “Stay“. |
6. 50 Cent- Before I Self Destruct
| The South Jamaica, Queens MC is back with his fourth studio album, Before I Self Destruct, set for a March 24th release as well. Also just like Busta Rhymes, Back on my B.S, this album has had a history of push backs and delays. Confirmed collaborations include Eminem, Dr Dre, Scott Storch and Swizz Beatz. |
5. Lil Wayne- Tha Carter IV + Rebirth
| The year looks busy for this New Orleans native. He’ll be dropping his rock album, Rebirth, in the next couple months and then following it up with hip-hop/rap album Tha Carter IV. The Rebirth is set to include Cool & Dre, Kanye West and Develop behind the beats. |
4. Busta Rhymes- Back on my B.S
| The eighth studio album from Busta Rhymes is set for a March 24th release and features the hit single “Arab Money”. Expect this album to blow. Confirmed producers include Cool & Dre, Danja, Ron Brownz, Dr Dre and The Neptunes, whilst vocal collaborations include UK RnB star Estelle as well as Akon, Ne-Yo, Missy Elliot and Lil Wayne. |
3. Jay-Z- The Blueprint 3
| Last year we were introduced to the concept of Jay-Z bringing out a new album. We heard “Jockin’ Jay-Z” and “Brooklyn We Go Hard” and ever since that we’ve been awaiting his new album eagerly. The Blueprint 3 should be out before the summer and should definately be getting a place on your IPod or CD rack. Going from “My President is Black”, and other recent tracks from the Brooklyn rapper, expect this album to be hot property. |

| In a recent interview with MTV 50 Cent stated that the album is finished and a release date will be set soon. So far leaked tracks include “Crack a Bottle” and “I’m Having a Relapse”. The album will feature collaborations with Interscope artists including Dr Dre, 50 Cent and Stat Quo. |

| For nearly a decade we’ve been waiting whilst the good doctor cooks up the album. The wait is nearly over. Detox is set to be released soon after Eminem’s and 50 Cent’s albums and the only leaked song so far is “Could have Been You“. As we all know, this will be an album to remember, hopefully it’ll be for the right reasons though. |

23 year old, Grammy Award winning recording artist, Ciara Princess Harris has posed nude in the October issue of Vibe Magazine. All whilst preparing and recording her new album, Fantasy Ride.
The US Star, who’s rumored to have had romantic affairs with both 50 Cent and Bow Wow, is releasing Fantasy Ride in late December. The album, produced by Timbaland’s protege, Danja as well as T.Pain and Polow Da Don is a three disc set, with a theme per disc. Below is a list of the themes and album names.

It’s official people, even though most of us saw it coming, Kanye West and 50 Cent are once again at each others necks.
With both artists releasing studio albums later this year and both artists competing to sell more than the other 50 has started the feud perfectly at a concert in Albany, US. After informing the crowd that he was about to play his new single he then went on to mine Kanye’s, Love Lockdown. Feel free to watch the video below.
0 Lil Wayne to Release The Carter IV
New Orleans rapper, Lil Wayne, has confirmed to the media that he is working on a follow up to The Carter III. Set to be released next year after his new mixtape featuring DJ Drama, Dedication III, is released.
The American rapper started the rumors earlier on in the year, when he stated in the remix to ‘A Milli’, that he was working on The Carter 4. It was however only till recently this month when he made it official, writing on his ESPN blog that he was working on his new album as well as a mix tape project with DJ Drama.
0 50 Cent’s $1.4 Million House Burnt Down
Early, confirmed reports, are saying that 6 people have been taken to hospital at around 5 am on the 30th of May. Including 50 Cent’s Son.
The house, brought by 50, is home to his ex-girlfriend, her boyfriend and two of her children, one of which is 50’s. It is currently being dealt with in court, with 50 trying to reclaim it and evict his ex and her boyfriend.
0 National Drum and Bass Awards 2009 Results
On Saturday 28th February The Custard Factory in Birmingham played host to the annual dnb awards, all of the scenes big players were in attendance and with the place packed to the rafters this was always going to be huge. The event was also broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 and 1 Xtra with sets from Fabio & Grooverider, Crissy Cris, Baily and the unstoppable Chase & Status who were joined by Plan B and Kano.
Predictably (but by no means undeserved) the winner of Best DJ was Andy C with Nicky Blackmarket picking up the award for Best Jungle DJ and Annie Mac winning Best Female DJ. Chase & Status pocketed 3 awards for Best Producer, Best Track and Best Album and Ram Records won the battle of the labels with Hospital 2nd and Ganja coming in 3rd. In his 20th year as DJ Hype it seemed fitting that the Stevie Hyper D Lifetime Achievement Award should go to the Ganja and Playaz Boss. This event was simply massive and if this year was anything to go by next years awards are one to look out for, the full list of winners is as follows.
